Team Mandala
DURATION: 2-3 hours
PROMOTES: Visual Creativity, Problem Solving, Cultural Diversity, Mindfulness, Collaboration, Team Building
DESCRIPTION: Artist Radha Lakshmi employs storytelling and traditional cultural art from India to guide your team in the practice of Mandalam. In this 2-3 hour session, your team will work together to create a giant mandala using rice powder and colored sand. Visually stimulating and culturally fascinating, the ephemeral mandala experience encourages mindfulness of living in the moment, creative thinking and problem solving. It also strengthens team cohesion and interpersonal relationships. Your members will return to the workplace relaxed, and ready for effective productivity.
Radha Lakshmi is an interdisciplinary artist whose contemporary works of art emerge from the ephemeral Mandala/Kolam traditions from Southern India. She received a Bachelor of Fine Art from the Art Academy of Cincinnati and a Masters of Fine Art at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Team Design

DESCRIPTION: Fashion design requires creativity, confidence and collaboration to create a product from vision to reality. Designer Karen Saunders will work with your teams to create wearable outfits using simple materials like paper bags and duct tape – and the talents and creativity of your team. A joyful fashion show ends the day’s experience, but the teamwork involved builds memories that lasts forever.
Karen Saunders is a multi-disciplinary artist and educator, with a BFA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and MA in Art Education from Miami University. Karen is a founding member of the Bombshells of Cincinnati and created installations at the Contemporary Arts Center and 21c Museum.

Team Mural Making
DURATION: 3 hours, with optional one hour design pre-session

DESCRIPTION: In a two-part process, your team will brainstorm themes for a collaborative mural reflecting your business or special occasion. Artist Cedric Michael Cox will create a custom mural design based on the brainstorm results and lead the team in collectively painting the mural on canvas panel(s). The mural will be available for installation at a location of your choosing. Team members will return to the workplace invigorated by the new creative skills learned and will be more effective collaborators.
Cedric Michael Cox is best known for his paintings which fall between surrealism and representational abstraction. He received a BFA from the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning. His work is exhibited nationally and he designed several murals with ArtWorks.

Team Movement
DURATION: 1.5 hours
PROMOTES: Collaboration, Nonverbal Communication, Trust, Leadership, Team Building
DESCRIPTION: Perhaps no other activity requires trust, communication and collaboration more than dance. This workshop uses creative movement help your team explore and identify the working skills and styles of individuals and groups. Jeri Gatch of MamLuft&Co will inspire kinesthetic learners and get your team comfortable in moving together by deploying movements that are easy, interactive, and playful.
Participants are not required to dance: the simple pedestrian movements we use do not require training – only the ability to move.
Jeri Deckard Gatch is a modern dance teacher, choreographer, and performer with over 20 years of experience. She earned her BS in Kinesiology from Indiana University, and her MFA in Performance and Choreography from Temple University. Currently, Jeri is a dance instructor at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and MamLuft & Co Dance.

Team Percussion
DURATION: 1.5 hours

DESCRIPTION: Unleash the power of percussion in a rhythmic music making experience. In this 1.5 hour session, master percussionist Baba Charles Miller leads team members to play African or Latin rhythms together using traditional hand instruments such as shakers, bells and drums, and shares the cultural significance. Your team will return to the workplace invigorated by the new creative skills learned and aware of the power within teams that work collaboratively.
Baba Charles Miller is a performing artist and instructor practiced in the percussive traditions of Africa, Brazil, and the Caribbean. An internationally recognized multi-percussionist, he has toured with Malian drum master Yaya Diallo and performed with the Cuban Ensemble Afro-Cuba de Matanzas.

DESCRIPTION: In a two-part process, your team leader along with artist guidance will decide on a theme for a collaborative banner reflecting your business or special occasion. Artist June Pfaff Daley will lead the team in collectively painting the banner/mural on canvas panel(s) using a variety of unexpected mark making tools in a unique painting process that allows any skill level to flourish. The canvas banner(s) will be available for installation at a location of your choosing.
Team members will return to the workplace invigorated by the new creative skills learned and
realize the benefits of working together as a team rather than individuals.
June Pfaff Daley received a BFA in illustration from the University of Dayton. She works as a freelance
graphic designer, mixed media artist and instructor. Her original home décor and craft projects have
been featured on the HGTV show “That’s Clever” and published in books and magazines.
